Questions & Answers
Question: Does this saw accept dado blade set?
Answer: Yes, you will need the Dado Throat Plate which is DeWalt Part Number DWE7402D1. Per DeWalt, do not attempt to stack dado blades thicker than 13/16″ (20 mm). Do not use dado blades larger than 8″ (200 mm) diameter. Since dado cuts are not thru-cuts, the cuts must be performed with the blade guard assembly removed. To remove the blade guard assembly, pull riving knife/blade guard release lever and pull up on the guard or riving knife to remove. When using the dado, the special dado insert (also sold as an accessory) must be used.
Question: What are the dimensions of the unit on the stand when closed up. WxHxD? Need to know if it will fit in the storage cubby I have in the garage.
Answer: Laid down flat – 27 1/2″ wide, 46″ long (you can take about 3″ off this by using the shorter handle length slots), 25″ high with rail on (21 1/2″ with it off). You can stand it up or lay it down – either works.
Question: Does the saw remove from the base
Answer: Since you put it on stand during assembly ;of course it can be removed. Its not a quick mount type design for removal tho.

This is a great little saw. It’s compact, easy to setup and takedown, has great features, and a powerful motor. It is important to note that this is a JOBSITE saw. The reviews complaining about thousandths of an inch are true but, in some respects, unjustified. If you need that degree of precision, get a shop saw. This saw is made to be rugged and robust. It is accurate as well but when you’re on a jobsite and you don’t have the luxury of feed tables (like most shop saws do) then any saw can suffer.
Pros –
1. Power
2. Portability
3. Features
4. Compact size
5. Ruggedness
The rack and pinion fence system, accessory storage, quick-change riving knives, the easy-to-use and versatile guide fence w/flip down material support, and powerful motor all combine to make this saw well worth the money!
Cons –
None that I’ve found so far.
I’ve had the saw for almost 8 months and wanted to see how it did before reviewing it especially considering the condition in which the box arrived. It has done very well and I am pleased with my purchase!

This being a portable table saw and the price it was at I figured, and hoped I figured right, that it would be be built to be rugged. It was and much more. Somewhere I saw or read that Dewalt went all out to make sure that every setting was accurate and would remain so before being shipped. I thought yeah, sure but as I have put it to use I have checked everything several times only to find out it was true right down to that 10 inch blade they included. I couldn’t believe that a rip blade could or would cut this smooth. It cuts through pressure treated 2x4s like they are a stick of butter. I’m sure the strength of the motor plays a part because the sound never changes through the cut of any of them. As I push the board through I don’t even feel it being cut, nothing at all and it crosses my mind this can’t be.
The accuracy of the any of the cuts and settings just blows me away and how rigid the fence remains and everything else remains true as you make your cuts.Yeah, I’m impressed, definitely!
