Answer: Yes it comes with battery and charger

Question: Whats the running time on one charge?
Answer: I’ve used the string trimmer three times now and I have 50 minutes worth of trimming to do and the battery has had one bar of power remaining after 50 minutes of use.

First of all, this thing has really good power for a battery powered unit. I wouldn’t be trying to cut knee high weeds with it (although it could probably do it), but for normal around the yard use, this thing is plenty powerful. On a fully charged battery, I typically have one indicator bar left on the battery, and that’s with some heavy cutting for around 30 minutes. I have several of the 20V 5Ah batteries, so I don’t worry about babying it when using it, but one battery definitely gets all of my trimming done.

This is the first product review I’ve ever written and I am only doing so because this thing is friggin amazing and people need to know. I melted through 2 acres of waist high grass tangled in a thick web of Southern California ice plant like it was nothing. Each 5ah battery lasted about half an hour on the “high” setting with nonstop full throttle and maintained full power output and trimmer torque right up until they were completely dead. If you were doing normal trimming and yard maintenance you could probably go a month on one battery. I was really skeptical of the gimmicky “fold it in half” thing but I absolutely love it. It’s the perfect weed trimmer for the above average and/or common man. All the power of a gas burner and half the weight. Buy one.

Got this just a week ago, and took it out for use the other day. My home sits on 2 acres, and is a corner location, so I have alot of weedeating to do. I own several gas weedeaters, so I was hoping this would be a good back up. Pleasantly surprised by the power and ease of use. Very utile and easy to use. Cutting power was equivalent to any gas powered weedeater I’ve owned. Battery lasted for as long as I needed it, and just very happy with this purchase.

I purchased the DeWalt brushless weed wacker because I use other DeWalt products and am pleased with their overall quality. I also have the batteries for quick change-outs when desired. I tested this “lawn” trimmer on some pretty tough overgrown weeds to clear a fire break near my greenhouse. I am very pleased with this product and its performance. The brush was mowed down quickly and effortlessly, battery life was good and the trimmer is well made. I’ve had other trimmers before including gas powered trimmers and this one beats all of them. I’ve made a good choice and I’m notoriously hard to please.
